Who is the target audience?

The school children as it is about them and their school. also their parents as they may want to know whats going on in their childs school.

Who/what are they representing? What are they trying to suggest about thier school and the pupils?

That their school is upper class and wealthy as they can afford their own magazine. It also boosts their own popularity showing that the pupils at their school are the best and the "head of the class".

How have they tried to make the colour appealing to the audience?

They have made the colour appealing to the audience by making the colour scheme match the school uniform. This shows the professional side of the magazine, and indicates that the magazine is well thought out and well planned.

Is the front cover of the magazine succsessful? What could be improved?

I think the magazine front cover is succsessful because they have stuck to a colour scheme and its not too busy. They have a clear focus point which you are drawn to. To improve the front cover i would put some more information on it which tells you what is inside the magazine.
